The String wound sediment filter is a pre -filter witch removes sand, silt, dirt and rust particals from water. The string wound filters come in various sizes 10 inch 20 inch and big blue sizes. The string wound also comes in various micron sizes like 1 , 5 , 10 , 20 , 30 , and 50 but the most common sizes are 5 and 20 microns
